i have a lot of personal problems in the best way right now -sigh- but!! i'm hoping tonight's show works out amazinggglyyyyy and it probably will. thank you all for all of your support, i love you guys!

Because this is a prerecorded show, the times on the playlist might be a little off, so instead I'm just listing the songs in order of how they are played - and by year! Because as you know from listening, this show takes us from 1980-2014 by playing a female-pop song of each year! WOO! I actually had a lot of fun making this mega-mix. ampersand stuff and plans for tonight

blog don't fight! #personal

&&&&&&& is coming up! & (ampersand) is a bi-monthly collaboration show between our very own WMBR and the MIT List Visual Arts Center! It's a show focused on a hybrid of live music and art, and it's really cool, and very cheap [$5 cash at the door, $3 with MIT ID]. I help put it on and set it up and whatever.

The next & show is next Thursday, January 15th, at 8:00pm (doors 7:30pm), at the MIT Bartos Theater in the List Visual Arts Center. I will be there!!! So come to check out some very cool and very cute musicians (Ben Seretan, gorg, with openers Denby and the Alcotts, cute cute and cute), and also to meet DJ Candy live in-person!! I'm making a couple Fun Hazard shirts - the first person (fan?) who comes up to me at & and introduces themselves automatically wins one!! WOO!

When my prerecorded bedroom extravaganza show goes live courtesy of one of the members of DatA on Friday, I will be talking about & and meeting me and shirts and good music, promise, so you'll hear it too before you come out to see me then :)

My throat hurts really bad today. My temperate-climate-adjusted-Virginia body cannot take these freakin Boston Indian summers followed by 30 degree winter weather. And I literally have such a busy week, and then I need to be well for this weekend. Friday I wanna go to the Frost Ice Bar, but before then I have to Christmas shop!! Only a couple more weeks til I'm back at Galaxy Hut, scoping out (checking out?) Arlington musicians. I don't wanna leave, and at the same time I'm so homesick I can barely function without craving Northside Social coffee. Damn, I even miss the hipsters...not the yuppies, though, at least not yet.
